HazMat: Chemical and Biological Hazards Training for Healthcare Workers

Learn how to get information about chemical and biological hazards and how to protect yourself and your co-workers. These classes are open to all hospital and clinic workers. Request the day off to attend. To register for these classes, participants must first get released so that we have an accurate participation list.

Health & Safety for Homecare Workers

Homecare workers have a unique workplace filled with a variety of job hazards. In this training we will identify the hazards of homecare work and specifically discuss one or more of the following topics:

  1. General Health & Safety in Homecare: Hazard
    Identification, Risk Mapping
  2. Bloodborne Diseases and Universal Precautions: Risks and prevention of exposure to bloodborne diseases (such as HIV, Hepatitis BNB and Hepatitis C)
  3. Back Injury Prevention: Preventing repetitive strain and back injuries
  4. Preventing Workplace Violence: Identifying Levels and Types of Violence in Homecare.
