NOV 4 ELECTION: Tuesday was an historic day for our country, for California and for our union

Electing Barack Obama the first African American President of the United States gives us the chance to make the change we need and build a brighter future for generations to come.

With a stronger pro-worker, pro-healthcare majority in Congress and a President who'll put working families first, we now have the opportunity to achieve real progress for healthcare workers and the people who need our care.  With hard work, we can win affordable, quality healthcare for all, the freedom for workers to form a union without employer interference, and so much more.
